Matthew Jordon (MJ)

Residential Technician

Matthew Jordon (MJ)

MJ is a dedicated Residential Technician at Spokane Falls Recovery Center, where he provides support, guidance, and ensures a safe and welcoming environment for residents. With over 26 years in recovery, he brings both personal experience and deep compassion to his work, embodying the principles of service and support that define the recovery journey.

Before joining SFRC, MJ spent three years delivering medications to hospitals, hospices, and homes, where he often found himself in conversations about addiction—both his own and others’. This experience fueled his desire to work directly in the recovery field. After training as a Certified Peer Counselor and working in detox, he found a home at SFRC, where client care is the top priority.

For MJ, recovery is more than just a job—it’s a way of life. He continues to attend meetings, work the steps, and stay connected to his recovery community. When he’s not at SFRC, he dedicates his time to rescuing abandoned cats, caring for the seven he has saved so far.
