For Richard, recovery isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life. As a recovering addict with over 15 years in the treatment field, Richard has experienced his own struggles with addiction and chronic relapse, but it was in 2020 that he found the change he was searching for. Through working the 12 steps of AA and embracing accountability, Richard began to experience the transformation he needed to live a sober life. He’s proud to bring both his personal journey and his professional experience to the SFRC team, where he’s been a dedicated member since 2021.

Richard’s role as a Residential Technician revolves around ensuring the safety and comfort of everyone at SFRC. He is dedicated to providing a space where clients and coworkers alike feel supported in all aspects—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Richard believes that true care comes from the heart, and his life motto reflects this: “All that I know is worthless, unless it comes from my heart. People don’t really care what you know until they know that you care.”
